FAQS

Do tours run in all types of weather?

Tours operate rain or shine! Safety is our priority and, in extreme weather conditions or high winds, adventures may be cancelled at the discretion of our qualified crew. We will be in touch should this be the case.

Will we really see whales?

Yes! There is a high chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, and other types of whale on your tour. Our year-round whale sighting success rate is ~95% (averaged across all of our adventures) with chances being even higher during summer months.

What happens if we don’t see a whale?

This adventure is covered by our year-round Year-Round Whale Sighting Guarantee. In the unlikely case, we do not see whales on this adventure, you can join us on another whale watching tour. This guarantee is valid for a lifetime!

Are there bathrooms on the Zodiacs?

No, the RHIBs are open-air boats, and therefore do not have washrooms on board. We recommend that you use the public washrooms (located next to our office) before your departure.

Can I bring a camera on a Zodiac?

Yes! Bring your camera and/or video camera to capture the experience. We also recommend that you bring a plastic bag or other waterproof case to keep your camera safe and dry during transit. The boat will come to a complete stop for photo opportunities.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are definitely recommended. Adventures often sell out and we don’t want you to be disappointed.

We were very lucky!! Spotted the big 5: killer whales, humpback whales, dolphins (yes Patrick, those were dolphins), seals and sea lions. Amazing tour. Professional captain, great gear. We didn't get wet, almost.
    Highly recommend.

Amazing experience I took the trip on 18 Sep. Wilma was on the upper deck giving us a lot of information. We spotted a family of killer whales (orcas) just outside the harbour; we spent about an hour with them following them around but keeping our distance so they were safe. Even though we saw whales pretty soon in the trip the crew took us further into the sea to look for humpbacks, which we also saw. Then on the way back we went through a place known for sea lions.
It was an amazing experience being able to see this gorgeous animals, and so many of them. Thanks so much to the crew for taking the time to give us all those gifts on the same trip.
They said because of their licence they can stay 100m closer than other companies, it is probably worth noting that when you are looking for a provider. Not only because you will see them from closer but because you will know they have expertise on board and the animals will be safe.

Great tour on the sound Fantastic tour seeing Orcas and hump back whales. Lili was great and gave us a detailed commentary as we were on the sound looking at all wildlife. The boat was very comfortable and a cup of chocolate hit the spot to warm us up after being outside on deck

Do youself a favour! We spent a fabulous day aboard the whale watching boat with Amy, James, Anthony and Sandy. We were treated to sightings of Humpback whales and Orcas and there was even a marriage proposal for one lucky passenger! Amy and James made the tour seem very personal, taking the time to speak individually with passengers about the area, as well as addressing the whole group. We thoroughly enjoyed Victoria but the highlight was the cruise. Well worth the money spent!

Amazing whale watching experience!! Worth every penny!! My 6 year old and myself went and had the best afternoon ever!! Saw so many orcas...sea lions, eagles and other wildlife. Options to sit on upper or lower area of boat, great views and protected from the elements. Wonderful staff, very knowledgeable and great with the kids on the boat. We could not have asked for more!! I was skeptical about the cost and what we may or may not see but I would go again in a heartbeat!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Victoria!!

Half Day Wale Watching Tour from Vancouver BC Ich habe bei dem 1.
